'Master Classes'

Individual tution, at any level, on a date to suit you!

We can offer a wide range of training under our 'MasterClass' banner

'MasterClass' is the umbrella term for anything from a One Day Introductory session, through to an advanced specifically designed day(s) / weekends for AR teams, or individuals. These might be purely Navigation based or include other activity disciplines such as MTB, canoe or kayak, or abseil and ropes sessions.

One Day AR Navigation Day

As with all Masterclasses, details and dates are negotiable, and hence costs vary, but a simple One Day course costs from just £160 to hire a tutor for a day, with that cost being split between one or more clients (maximum four people). This is an excellent opportunity for a fun and rewarding day with your race partner or friends. It is also excellent value. The hardest part may be fixing a date with you friends .... so plan ahead. One Day MasterClasses are usually based in The Lake District so you can combine it with a weekend away with family or non-racing friends.

One Day AR Run/Mtb Navigation Day

This works in the same way as a One Day AR Navigation Day, but your time is split between running and biking; often a very crucial part of an Adventure Race. Costs, details and booking are as above.

More Masterclasses

Some training programmes will obviously involve more tutor input and expense but I will explore various options and quote for your specific request.

For example, one of our more unusual requests has been to arrange an overnight trek, early morning 'Team Orienteering' challenge and return MTB ride. This was for a team looking to 'gel' before an expedition race and to investigate the sleep deprivation issue. Exploring team dynamics and individual skills were a great interest to this team, and with a vast array of experience amongst our tutor team we can offer a huge range of possibilities.
